iPME were appointed as Mechanical and Electrical Consultants for the redevelopment of the former Bank of Scotland building in the heart of Dunblane.
Working as part of an architect-led team, we provided full M&E design services to support its transformation into a vibrant community hub, featuring a café, flexible event space, and small cinema. Our role included energy strategy advice, heating and ventilation design, and the integration of low-energy lighting and controls, all tailored to the constraints of the historic structure.
With a strong focus on sustainability, we explored renewable technologies, low-carbon heating solutions, and enhanced fabric performance to reduce energy use and environmental impact. The scheme represents a sensitive yet forward-thinking reuse of a heritage asset, creating an inclusive, accessible, and low-energy community space at the heart of Dunblane.
